The Costa Rica Project

Hi! So today my teacher was telling us about kids who have almost nothing in Costa Rica, ( no good food, no school supplies for a good education, no money, ect.)and I felt so bad for them. I wanted to help but I didn’t know how. Then I had an idea.

I thought for a moment, then I leaned over and whispered to my friend Peyton. She loved the idea and wanted to help. Wondering what my idea is??? Well, here it is! I thought that we could fill our old backpacks with things these kids need. Then, when Mrs. Jimenez goes back there,( she was born there and lives there in the summer) she could give the bags to a poor school! Our plan is still in progress, but we are so exited!

  1. What a great idea! I’m sure your things will help these kids, and I know they will also appreciate your kindness.
    Good for you!

  2. Great idea, Nyala! I may have some extra backpacks. If so, would you like me to send them to you for your project? Love you for having a caring heart…

  3. Nyala,
What a great idea. You can count on Bibi Debbie and Poppy to contribute to the project. Auntie Martha, Tony, Fran, Shanti and Jody lived in Costa Rica for 10 years. They love this country and visit there frequently. Martha and Tony were journalists there reporting on the Contra War in the 1980’s.
